Funeral Directors Assistant
Based in Elgin, this role requires the highest standards of professionalism, care, and service to our communities. You will assist our Funeral Directors to arrange and conduct funeral services with the aim, following training, to take full responsibility in arranging and conducting Funerals as required.
To be the first point of contact for families and provide a caring, dignified, and professional service to your community 24 hours a day. (As part of an on-call rota).
Assist in the identification, removal and transport of the deceased in a dignified, caring and compassionate manner.
Assist in all funeral and memorial duties required to fulfil client’s instruction.
Assist our Inverurie branch as required.
Ensure the funeral vehicles are valeted as required.
Maintain business relationships with external parties such as clergy, florists and crematoria staff.
Undertake or participate in relevant training courses as required taking responsibility for your personal development.

Previous experience in a customer facing role.
Excellent attention to detail.
Highly organised with the ability to successfully multi-task and prioritise workload, manage own time effectively and take ownership of projects and tasks.
Awareness of client confidentiality, information security and data protection.
